IMC Hires New Chief Technology Officer

International Market Centers (IMC) has hired Shannon Knox, a former VP Technology for Hilton Worldwide, as its new Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer. Beginning June 3, he will be responsible for IMC’s overall strategy, architecture, delivery and use of technology and IT infrastructure. Knox reports directly to Robert Maricich, IMC Chairman and CEO.

“With technology’s increasing importance to our business, we are making significant investments in digital development and are elevating our technology leadership to C-Level,” said Maricich. “Shannon has valuable experience in the successful implementation of enterprise architecture designed to reduce friction – internally and externally – across data-rich businesses with considerable scale and velocity.”

As a member of IMC’s Executive Leadership Team, Knox will support a significant investment in state-of-the-art systems and enterprise architecture designed not only to provide a seamless customer experience across all IMC markets but also to maximize data integrity and analytics. These systems will integrate with and enhance digital platform development to extend and amplify market value for IMC customers 365 days a year.

Knox joins IMC from Hilton Worldwide, where he served as Vice President, IT Field Services and Strategic Sourcing, responsible for technology operations functions of 700+ corporately-managed hotels globally. He led Hilton’s global technology deployment and implementation organization, which is responsible for Hilton’s proprietary PMS, industry leading Digital Key solution and sales platform. He also was responsible for Hilton’s technology strategic sourcing function which oversees all corporate technology sourcing and strategic vendor relationships.

Previously, Shannon served as SVP and CIO of LXR Luxury Resorts and Hotels where he managed the technology organization, and as Vice President and CIO for Destination Hotels and Resorts, which operated both branded and independent full-service hotels. Shannon graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in business.
