Media Bulletin: IMC Closes AmericasMart, Atlanta Convention Center and ADAC to Public in Compliance with City of Atlanta Executive Order

ATLANTA – (March 24, 2020) – In line with the City of Atlanta Executive Order for residents to shelter in place and non-essential businesses to temporarily close, International Market Centers (IMC) will fully comply with the government order and temporarily close AmericasMart® Atlanta, the Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart, and the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC) to the public beginning at 5 p.m. today, March 24, 2020. The 14-day closure, ordered by Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, aims to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

IMC Announces $280 Million Capital Investment in Market Enhancements

International Market Centers (IMC) announced today a three-year, $280 million-dollar investment in new initiatives to enhance its markets in Atlanta, High Point and Las Vegas. Elements of the plan, which will be implemented over the next six-24 months on all three campuses, include category enrichment and extension, launch of new verticals, strategic remerchandising of existing resources, digital and mobile platform enhancements, and physical improvements in arrival areas and public spaces.

LAS VEGAS, NV, HIGH POINT, NC and ATLANTA, GA – (November 12, 2018)—International Market Centers (IMC) announced today that the acquisition of the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC), a leading design center housing the Southeast’s largest collection of luxury furnishings for residential, hospitality and commercial applications, has closed. The ADAC acquisition follows the previous merger between IMC and AmericasMart Atlanta earlier this year. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

LAS VEGAS, NV, HIGH POINT, NC and ATLANTA, GA – (August 22, 2018) —International Market Centers (IMC) has entered into an agreement to acquire the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC), a leading design facility housing the Southeast’s largest collection of luxury furnishings for residential, hospitality and commercial applications. This announcement follows the recent merger between IMC and AmericasMart Atlanta, which was finalized on July 20, 2018. The ADAC purchase is expected to be completed by late September. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
